La Cabina Telefónica Coming Soon!

I was lucky enough to play 7 or 8 characters on this show. At the risk of sounding cliché, I’ll say that this was an incredible experience. I have spent a lot of time over the past couple of years working on my VO technique, so it was such a wonderful validation to have booked this job. Not only that, but working in the booth was so much fun. On the actual day of recording I was presented with a few new lines of dialogue for an additional 2 characters on top of the 5 I was originally booked for. Somehow, I was able to find new, interesting voices on the fly. After 5-6 hours of recording, I felt great and could’ve kept going! I attribute all to the countless hours I spent in my Bushwick closet, talking into a wine crate lined with audio foam. In between takes I’d curse as the sound of a passing 18-wheeler inevitably barreled through the background of my best take. We’ve come a long way. I hope that this is the first of many VO jobs in the coming year.
