MELVIN LIMA is a Cuban-American actor, writer and producer living in NYC.
HIS professional acting career began in HIS HOMETOWN OF MIAMI WORKING IN commercials. After booking two national spots (VW, KFC) IN 2011 he moved to New York and began training at the William Esper studio under THE GUIDANCE OF THE ILLUSTRIOUS Terry Knickerbocker.
In Summer of 2013 Melvin had his first big-screen appearance in the feature film Tio Papi, which was directed by long-time friend and collaborator Fro Rojas. After years of training at various NYC studios (Maggie Flanigan, Anthony Abeson, TK STUDIOS) Melvin began working on independent films and Off-Broadway plays (The Morning After, THE NATURE ROOM).
In 2018 Melvin made his network television debut, appearing In POWER, THE BLACKLIST, NEW AMSTERDAM, BULL AND TELL ME A STORY.
He continues to train and audition in New York.
